AGNEW, Rowan Grant (1936-2016)


Rowan Grant attended Toolamba State School before boarding at Geelong College from 9 February 1950 to December 1951. His address at entry was 'Blackers', Mooroopna in Victoria. He had been born on 26 July 1936 to parents Robert Rowan Agnew and Kathleen Mary nee Grant who married in 1935.

Rowan and his wife moved to Esperance in 1962 to clear, fence and build sheds on New Land farms. They lived in Esperance for 40 years before moving to Perth in 2002. Rowan sold his last farm in 2008.

Rowan, age 79, formerly of Esperance and Toolama, died at Perth on 16 July 2016.

His brother, Robert, was also educated at Geelong College.
