AWARDS, TROPHIES and CUPS


The Geelong College holds a large collection of awards, trophies, cups, award books and certificates awarded to students of the School. Some of these are on display at the Preparatory School, and Principal’s Drawing Room.

All donated or acquired awards and trophies as well as those withdrawn from current use have been catalogued and may be searched in the Archives Catalog which is accessible through the Heritage and History website.

Masters Trophy, 1891 (150 yard sprint)  won by F P Strickland.

Masters Trophy, 1878 (150 yard sprint) won by J C Bell Made by Fischer, this trophy was provided by W B Haines and consists of half an emu egg mounted in silver on a black stand and having at the top a hinged ink-pot surmounted by a silver emu. The whole is covered by a glass dome. This trophy was bequeathed to the School in 1981 by the daughter of J C Bell of Woodbrook, Teesdale - M K A Bell of Bellbrae.
