BALL, Peter Grant (1938-2024)

Peter was enrolled at the College from 1950-1952. He was involved in the rowing program, reaching the 2nd VIII crew in 1952. In his final year, Peter was awarded the A T Andrews Memorial Prize for Science and Mathematics, as well as coming second to the Dux and receiving the Dux Proxime Accessit prize.

Peter went on the study pharmacy and served his apprenticeship at Bull & Owen’s in Geelong. He married Jeanette Fewtrell (MOC) in 1960 and they have two children, Louise (OGC 1984) and Peter (OGC 1987). Peter and Jeanette, along with Jeantte’s father Campbell, owned and managed a Geelong West pharmacy business for many years. In 2004, Peter became a life member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (Vic branch).

Peter passed away 20 May 2024, 89 years.
