BARBER, George Wingfield (1933-2022)

George Barber was enrolled as a boarder at The Geelong College in 1949, beginning in Form UIVA. In his second year he was awarded the Alexander Coto and John Coto Memorial Prize and received Morrison House football colours. At school, George was involved in the rowing, cadets and the PFA and music committees. In his final year, he was appointed as a school prefect and served on the Pegasus editorial panel. Following school, George would go on to become a teacher and lived in Maryborough (Vic.) with his wife Elizabeth.

George passed away 13 October 2022, aged 89 years.
