BARROW, Percy

BARROW, Percy

Percy Barrow, carpenter and joiner, was for fifteen years from 1974 to 1989 the boatman of the College maintaining all rowing equipment held at the College Boatsheds. After his 'retirement', he returned to the College two mornings a week as a woodwork machinist from 1990 to 1999 at the Woodwork Centre and House of Guilds. His work on behalf of College rowing was recognised in 2010 when one of the sculls was named the 'Percy Barrow' .
