BEITH, Allen Duncan (1925-2009),
Allen Duncan Leith of Buderim, Queensland died 25 July 2009. After attending Geelong High School, he was enrolled at the College in 1939 where he became a corporal in the College Cadet Corps.
He completed secondary schooling in December, 1941, then worked for a period, before enlisting in the AIF on 4 August, 1943 serving as a corporal with the 2/24th Battalion. The 2/24th served in the Middle East and at Tarakan on Borneo. Alan was discharged from the army in October 1946.
His brother W M Beith also attended the College.
