BELL, Richard Maxwell "Max" (1932-2015)

Richard Maxwell “Max” Bell was born 26 July 1932 to William (a baker) and Elsie Bell, Meredith. When Max was enrolled as a Day Student at Geelong College to start Form U IVA in 1944, the family was living at 121 Kilgour Street. In 1947 Max was third in his class, Form III, and he left the College in 1948.

Max practiced drafting and engineering, staying in the Geelong area. He married Carol and they had three children. His son Richard (OGC 1977) also attended Geelong College.

Max passed away 8 January 2015, aged 82 years and is buried at Stieglitz.
