BENHAM, Anthony George


Born on 5 April 1946 at Melbourne, son of C S Benham of Barwon Heads, he came to the College (1959-1963) from Brighton High School. He was called up for National Service and served (No. 3789677) in South Vietnam with the 4th Field Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery embarking for Vietnam on 13 June 1967 and returning to Australia on 8 May 1968.

Ad Astra of September 1967 reported:
'Gunner Anthony Benham (1959) left shortly after his marriage for service in Vietnam. He married Coral Robertson of Geelong on 20 April 1967.'

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs lists him with Vietnam Service (National Service) as a Gunner (No. 3789677) with the Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery from 13 June 1967 to 8 May 1968.
