BRIAN LESTER PRIZE FOR SPECIALIST MATHEMATICS The Brian Lester Prize for Specialist Mathematics is a current, annually offered, academic prize. The award was originally (from 1967 to 2005) for the top Year 12 Mathematics student but was re-defined and offered in 2006 as an award specifically for Specialist Mathematics.
It is named in memory of
Brian Edward Lester (c1903-1967) a senior mathematics teacher at College. The prize was first awarded in 1967.
