BUGLE BAND

BUGLE BAND

The first Bugle Band was recorded as formed in 1890 under the supervision of Drum Major Rashleigh and an image of this first Bugle Band (dated 1891) has survived. A Drum and Bugle Band was referred to in the 1905 Annual Report. At that time it had twelve buglers and nine drummers. The Band appears to have disappeared during World War I. Pegasus noted in 1919 that the Drum and Bugle Band had been formed in the previous year.
