BURGESS, Anthony Bird (1934-2022)
Anthony was enrolled at The Geelong College from 1943, beginning in Form LIVB. His older brother Brian also began Form IA this year. In 1949 Anthony began boarding at the school. He was part of a number of rowing crews, reaching the 2nd VIII in 1952. He was also on the 2nd XVIII football team that year. Outside of sport, Anthony served on the House of Guilds committee, representing Photography.
Anthony had four children and eight grandchildren. Husband of Noelle, Anthony passed away 4 August 2022, aged 87 years. He was an active member of the Warrandyte community.
