BOYD, William, (1860-1926)


William Boyd was enrolled at Geelong College from 15 July 1872 to 1878. His address at entry was Apahrasia St, Newtown.

He was a son of Alexander Boyd and Susan, nee Turner. Willam married Edith Teresa, nee Thornley.

At College, he was a member of the 1st Cricket XI in 1877 and 1878 and the 1st Football XX in 1877 and 1878.

Is he the William Boyd who owned the Neuk in 1905?

He died on 23 June 1926.

The Argus newspaper on 24 June 1926 announced his death:
'BOYD – ‘On the 23rd June, at Tarrone, Koroit, William husband of Edith Boyd.’
