COTTON, Leicester Mountford (1899-1966)


Leicester Mountford first attended Miss Harris' School, Newtown prior to his enrolment as a day student in February 1910 at Geelong College. He left College in December 1917. His entry address was 'Wonga', Gheringhap St, Geelong. He served in the Senior Cadets for 3 years.

He had been born on 28 August 1899, the son of Charles Herbert Cotton (c1863-1930) and Amy Frances nee Few.

During World War I, he entered camp to enlist on 14 October 1918 as a B company recruit, but did not embark due to the demobilisation of the AIF. He died on 10 September 1966, his death registered at Hornsby, NSW.
