Christopher Crawford was born to Dr Alan and Patricia Crawford, 28 March 1959. Chris was enrolled at the college from Grade 5 in 1969. A keen sportsman, Chris excelled in Tennis, performing well in both House competitions and on the tennis team. In his final year he was on the 1st VIII tennis team.

Chris would go on to become a prominent businessman in Geelong. He started out at Target in 1979 as a trainee manager. Then became Assistant Manager in Warrnambool before several other management positions in Victoria. In 1986 he returned to Geelong, becoming Retail Buyer at the Target Head Office.

In Geelong, Chris served on the Newtown City Council prior to amalgamation. He was Deputy Mayor and served on many committees such as President of the Geelong Highland Gathering, member of the Geelong Regional Commission, and member of the Geelong Regional Library.

After leaving Target to become a buyer for several other companies, in 1995 Chris became self-employed. He owned a number of fast foot outlets and co-owned La Parisien for a time, before moving on to other business ventures.

Chris continued to support the College, serving on the Foundation Board, OGCA Committee & SSPA.

Chris passed away 30 January 2021, aged 61 years. Chris was married to Heatherlea (also deceased) and they had four daughters.
