DENNIS, Jack Leslie de Gruchy (1893-1942)

DENNIS, Jack Leslie de Gruchy (1893-1942)

Jack Leslie de Gruchy was born at Williamstown on 20 January 1893, the son of George Frederick Dennis and Florence nee de Gruchy. He was enrolled as a day student at Geelong College in 1906 with an address at entry of Pevensey Crescent, Geelong by Mrs de Gruchy. It is not known how long he was at College.

According to James Affleck, although listed in Pegasus as having served during World War I, there appears to be no record of his service, either in the Imperial Army or the Australian Imperial Force (AIF).

His brother, Rupert Atherton Godfrey Dennis (1891-1955), was also educated at Geelong College.
