DRILLING

DRILLING First mentioned as a College activity in the 1863 Annual Report, drilling was a regular feature of the College and its public performances until the formal establishment of the Cadet Corps in 1885. Sergeant Cripps of the Victorian Volunteers was named in 1863 as responsible for drilling all students twice a week.
