'Josh' Dunkley-Smith, Olympic rower, competed successfully in the world rowing championships in 2011 gaining a bronze medal in the men’s fours. He had won a bronze medal in the fours at the Under-23 world titles the previous year and had also placed third in the men's VIII.
In 2012, at Lucerne, the crew came 2nd in the IVs. True to form he had been Captain of Boats at College in 2007. This year, his sights are on the 2012 London Olympics and Josh will compete as Stroke in the Australian coxless IV against the world’s best rowers.

Josh was a student at the Geelong College from 1999 to 2007 becoming a McLean House Prefect in 2007. He was a member of the 1st Basketball Team in 2005 and 2007 and rowed in the 1st rowing VIII in 2006 and 2007. He also participated in Athletics, Waterpolo and Swimming.
'Josh' Dunkley-Smith was inducted into the Old Geelong Collegians' Association (OGCA) Notables Gallery at Geelong College in October 2014.
