FAWCETT, John William (1927-2023)
John boarded at the College for four years from 1939, starting at the Preparatory School. In the years after he left school, the Pegasus reported his sporting pursuits in Adelaide, playing golf for Adelaide University helping the team to third place in the inter-varsity match in Sydney in 1949, and winning the University golf championship in 1952. In recent years John had been living at Coppin Community Hostel in Melbourne. John passed away 19 May 2023, aged 96 years.
