FUND RAISING

FUND RAISING

Project Pegasus Fund Raising Campaign, 1970

Project Pegasus Fund Raising Campaign, 1970

Council at its meeting of 2 May 1924 agreed to employ a paid ‘recognised collector’ to canvas for funds. The Rev J B Rentoul was appointed to the position. Later the Rev J Crookston campaigned in Geelong. The catalyst for this had been the interest on debt which by 1924 was of concern. Some £7000 was promised from the Western District and a further £3000 from Geelong itself. This appears to signal a transition to the first formal fund raising.
