GIBSON, John (1890-?)

GIBSON, John (1890-?)

John Gibson was enrolled as a day student at Geelong College from 1905 to 1909. Born on 9 February 1890, he was enrolled as the son of William Gibson and Mary nee Hislop and his entry address was listed as 'Tyalla' Heyington Place, Toorak. He was entered as a day student though no Geelong address is listed for him.

Although a John Gibson is described in World War I research by James Affleck he does not seem to be the same John Gibson as he is substantially older. His activities after College are unknown and it remains uncertain as to whether he served in World War I.

His brother, Walter Gibson (1892-?) also attended Geelong College.
