Trial by Jury in 1938 and the final Glee Club performance of
The Gondoliers in 1958. Only in 1948, with the production of
Merrie England by A Woodman, while George Logie-Smith was overseas, did the Glee Club diverge from Gilbert and Sullivan. Several Glee Club re-unions have been held since.
