GOLF COURSE
An unidentified anecdote describing the early 1920s referred to the teaching staff, taking advantage of the comparative roughness of the grounds, and mapping out a miniature golf course ranging over the Cow-Paddock and the original Preparatory School grounds.
In August 1927, Pegasus reported that 'the numbers of Geelong College golfers have swelled considerably and, at one stage, the paddock contained more players than it could accommodate… now boarders only are allowed to smite the white ball over vast distances.'
