GOLF (Sport)

The first known reference to Golf as an elective sport occurs in 1962 when both Hockey and Golf were reported in Pegasus. At various times however, College golf teams have participated in external competition. In 1996 a College Team won the Under 15 Victorian Golf Association Schoolboys’ Teams Championship. This competition had been running since 1961.

A sports trophy known as the The Geelong College Senior School Golf Champions, donated by the Senior School Parents’ Association in the year 2000, was awarded annually to the winning House in the Senior School competition.
