HUGH MACKAY BIRD BATH

HUGH MACKAY BIRD BATH

This birdbath was originally installed in memory of Hugh Mackay (1841-1927), George Morrison’s groundsman and was located within the extensive plantings of the Principal’s private garden facing Talbot St. Following the removal of the large trees in this area in about 1970 the bird bath was re-located to the new residence built for the Principal and named Davey House. The birdbath has since been moved again.
