INGRAM, Allan Nicholson (1918-2013)


Alan Ingram, born at Essendon on 5 November 1918 to parents John Frederick Ingham and Florence May, nee Nicholson attended Geelong College as a day student for 1 year from 9 February 1927 to December 1927 after attending the Geelong Grammar Preparatory School.

He served during World War II from 18 February 1942 until his discharge on 21 December 1945 as a Lance Sergeant with 4 Australian BDE Area (R).

Alan died at South Eastern Private Hospital, Noble Park on 28 June 2013. His name is not listed on the Geelong College World War II Memorial Tablet. He is recorded on the World War II Nominal Roll by the Department of Veteran's Affairs.

His brothers, John Percival Ingram (1915-1997) and Leslie Alexander Ingram (1917-2007), were also educated at Geelong College.
