Milton Lamb, 1927 (Football).
Victorian Football League Footballer, played in the 1930 Grand Final and 1931 Geelong Premiership Team in which he was one of the best players on the ground. He played 72 games with Geelong between 1928 and 1932, mainly in defence, and played in the 1931 premiership side.
Milton, born at Moe and one of two sons of parents William Andrew Lamb and Amy Stellar nee Dolphin to attend Geelong College first attended a junior technical school before commencing at College in 1925. At School he played in the 1st Football XVIII from 1925 to 1927 and the 1st Cricket XI in 1926 and 1927. His brother, Maxwell Stewart (1911-2002) also attended in 1927 playing that year in the 1st Football Team. After leaving college he trained as a civil engineer and served in the RAAF as a navigator during World War II. From 1933 to 1975 he worked in management positions with Coles stores.
His brother, was also educated at Geelong College and played football with the VFL.
