METCALFE, William Henderson (1938-2021)

Bill Metcalfe was born in 1938 to William and Alice of Warragoon, Deniliquin. He was enrolled as a boarder at the College from 1949 to 1955. He completed Form MIV to VM.

At Preparatory School Bill was Captain of Bellerophon in 1951. An enthusiastic sportsman, Bill played football from 1952 to 1955, making his way to the 2nd XVIII in 1954-55. He was made a Corporal in the cadets in 1955 and received Calvert House Colours for tennis and football.

After school Bill went on to become a grazier, like his father, joining the family property Warragoon. He was married to Judy and they had four children.

Bill passed away 16 January 2021, aged 82 years.
