Newtown Ladies College

1880 Newtown Ladies College founded by Miss A C Harris in the family home in Elizabeth St (now Roebuck St), Geelong.
1913 The Presbytery of Geelong appoints a Committee to investigate the establishment of a Presbyterian Girls' School in Geelong. Action delayed by the outbreak of World War I.
1919 Reverend Charles Neville appointed to approach Miss Harris with an offer to purchase Newtown Ladies College. Roslyn House, the home of Howard Hitchcock on the corner of Elizabeth St and latrobe Terrace purchased.

Geelong Presbyterian Ladies College (Morongo)

1920 In February the Geelong Presbyterian Girls College (Morongo) was established. Miss Gertrude Pratt appointed first Headmistress.
1923 Land of 17 1/2 acres fronting Minerva Rd and Fyansford rd purchased but found to be unsuitable and later re-sold.
1926 Morongo, the former property of John Calvert at Bell Post Hill purchased.
1927 On 27 October 1927 Morongo opened on its new site.
1928 New road. 500 cypress trees.
1929 Additional cubicles.
1930 Golf links resown.

1935 Nursery section in Elizabeth Street.

1937 Improved sports oval, water storage, renovating Lodge.
1938 'Dudley' built under 'cubes'. Larget Kitchens.

1944 Classrooms, music room under cubicles, Day girls' locker room, new staff rooms, hospital unit, Hall bought and removed to Morongo.
1945
1946 Man's room, resurfaced main drive, sealed back drive.
1947 Chalet bought and re-erected,laundry improved, old hall converted to two classrooms.

1952 Junior School opened.
1953 New oval. Sun room for Hospital.

1955 Extra classroom, boarders' sitting room.
1956
1957 New water service installed.
1958
1959 Gertrude Pratt Hall, four classrooms, extensions to Chalet. Old hall equipped as gymnasium. Small bus purchased.
1960 Dining Hall and Kitchen block, old dining room converted into dormitory and flat.
1961 Gift of Staff House in Newtown from Mrs G. H. Moreton.
1962 Library extensions. Gas heating in school.
1963 Original old hall and wooden rooms removed to plantation. New cloak and shower rooms. Top oval.
1964 Science block, classrooms, staff rooms, extension of Bursar's office, book room, house for domestic staff. Shack converted to dormitories.
1965 Class room. New bus.
1966 Third oval. Trees planted along Ballarat Road.
1967 Lucy Shaw House for Senior Boarders.
1968 Three new classrooms and a Biology Laboratory. Lucy Shaw House opened by Moderator . Basket Ball Courts sealed. New bus.

1994 Morongo Closed.

1995 Buildings, facilities and resources purchased by Mr Yoshimaro Katsumata.
1996 Kardinia International College commences on 3 February 1996.
