MOYLE, Brian Alan Scott (1928-2024)

Alan boarded at the College from 1943 to 1945, having previously attended Korumburra Higher Elementary School. He was a member of Calvert House and received House Rowing Colour in 1945. Along with his brother, Julian (OGC 1940)Julian (OGC 1940), Brian was a member of the Glee Club and performed in several productions including the Gondoliers, Iolanthe and Princess Ida.

Following school, Brian returned to the Korumburra area to farm before moving to Melbourne. The Pegasus reported in 1950 that “Both JULIAN and BRIAN MOYLE won Ormond music scholarships and have joined the drift to the city, where they will devote their energies to business when not singing.” His career was varied and included Farmer, Insurance Clerk, Inspector, Executive Manager, Management Accountant, Internal Auditor, Barrister then Solicitor, Law Teacher and Lecturer.

Brian was married to Margaret Muir in 1959 and they have two children.

Brian passed away 28 August 2023, aged 95 years.
