Shayne Neal, natural resources manager, together with his wife 'Lizzie' Corke, established the ‘Cape Otway Conservation Ecology Centre’ and the ‘Great Ocean Ecolodge’. Shayne is a ploughing enthusiast and in 2011 was the Victorian State Ploughing Champion and Reserve National Ploughing Champion. See ‘Lizzie’ Corke’s biography for further information about the couple’s conservation endeavours.

Shayne was educated at Geelong College participating in House Athletics, Basketball, Music and Swimming. In 1997, he was a member of the 1st XI Hockey Team and the 2nd Tennis Team and a member of Wettenhall House.
