OVALS

OVALS

There are six main playing fields at the Senior and Preparatory School Campuses. At the Senior School Campus these are - the Main Oval; Mackie Oval and Rankin Field. At the Preparatory School the three ovals are known as Prep Top; Prep Bottom and Prep Hockey or the Southern Playing Field.

The Main Oval at Senior School was first used in late 1904 following the purchase of Paddy Rook’s Paddock.

Mackie Oval and Rankin Field once formed part of what was known at the Cow Paddock. Rankin Field is located on part of the area that used to form the first Preparatory School Oval.
