PRICE, Frank Heath (1893-1979)


Frank Heath Price was born on 6 September 1893, the son of John Evan Price and Martha nee Phillips. In 1908 he was enrolled as a day student at Geelong College by Mrs Price. He left that same year. His address at enrolment was 197 Pakington St, Geelong.

During World War I, he enlisted (No. 7855) in the AIF on 16 July 1915 and embarked for France with 12 Reinforcement Group to 10th Company, Australian Army Service Corps (AASC), on HMAT A40 Ceramic on 23 November 1915. From France he was invalided to England. He attempted to transfer to the Flying Corps. He returned to Australia, embarking on 23 June 1919.

His brothers, Sidney Evan Price (1874-1945), Alfred John Price (1876-1946), Herbert Philip Price (1875-1949), Henry Richard Price (1878-1951), David Walter Price (1880-1934), and Columbus Leigh Price OBE 1886-1948), were also educated at Geelong College.
