SIMSON, Percy Claude (1860-1946)


Percy Simson, son of James Simson, was enrolled as a day student at Geelong College on 29 January 1872. His address at enrolment was Skene St, Geelong. He was re-enrolled on 28 January 1874 and again on 28 January 1875.

Pegasus reported his death:
Percy Claude Simson, who was entered in 1872, was a son of James Simson Esq., a member of the College's first committee of management. His interests were always in the land; for a time he was in partnership with his brother, Harry B. Simson, at Limestone Ridge, S.A. In later life he retired to the city and on August 10, 1946, he passed away at Caulfield, aged 86 years.'

His brothers, James Murray Simson (1852-1889), Dundas Simson (1855-1936), Huntly Stuart Simson (1856-1900), Harry Bernard (1863-1961) Simson, Andrew Murray Simson (1866-1928), and Charles Eliot Simson (1868-1936), were also educated at Geelong College.
