TREBILCOCK, James Ernest Powne (1916-1996)


James Ernest Powne Trebilcock attended Geelong College between 1931 and 1932. James was the son of John Augustin Tebilcock and Lucy nee Powne and attended Geelong Grammar School before entering Geelong College.

During World War II, he served from 14 February 1940 in 24/39 Battalion, until he transferred to the 2nd AIF as WO Class II Trebilcock at 2/1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station. He was discharged on 5 March 1946. His father, John Augustus Trebilcock (1873-1958) and uncles, Richard Ernest (1880-1976) and Frank (1886-1968) were all students of the College.
