TRI-STATE SPORTS CARNIVAL

TRI-STATE SPORTS CARNIVAL

The Tri-State Sports Carnival commenced in 1965 as an annual football competition rotating between three schools – Hale School, Perth; Scotch College, Adelaide and The Geelong College.

Held in May, the schools competed for the C D Fisher Plate. Following the introduction of co-education at Scotch College, Adelaide and Geelong College, the Carnival expanded in its final year, 1979 to include girls’ netball and hockey. St Mary’s Girls’ School, Perth was included that year as Hale School remained a boys’ school. In January, 2007 a 1st Cricket Festival involving Barker College; Scotch College, Adelaide; Trinity College, Kew; Hale College, Perth and The Geelong College was held at Hale College, Perth.
