Roger Webb attended the College from Term III 1949 to 1958, after his father Don Webb returned to work at the College. His younger brothers Peter (OGC 1960) and Andrew (OGC 1968) soon joined him. At Senior School, Roger was a member of Shannon House. He was involved in football and rowing and served on the swimming, library and music committees. In 1958 Shannon won the Inter-House music competition, with Roger, their captain of music, conducting.

After training as a secondary school teacher and holding appointments at Yea and Portland, Roger was called to the ministry, and was ordained as a Minister of the Presbyterian Church on April the 10th, 1969. He served in various Victorian parishes, and became the School Chaplain at Ballarat College. He then accepted an invitation to be the Chaplain at Penrhos College in Perth, after which he worked as a marriage counsellor and a minister in various Uniting Church parishes. While in Perth, he studied for his Doctorate through a seminary in America and became a Doctor of Ministry. Later, he moved back to the eastern states, and was the minister at Coolamon and then Cessnock in New South Wales. On retirement, he and his wife Gwen moved to Wagga Wagga, where he accepted the role of Presbytery Chairman, and conducted services throughout the area until declining health intervened. He died in Wagga Wagga in 2024.
